Demo License: Our Demo versions do not work on VM. For Electronic Software License on Virtual Machines Ultimate must produce a registration number.

Purchased Electronic Software License (SL): Your license runs on a single computer that can be a desktop or a server. It takes a footprint of your computer. Installing the software on a VM can work, but it needs to be node locked so the hardware footprint stays the same. When the VM' footprint changes, your license will get disabled. You'll need to contact Ultimate's customer service to reactivate it. We recommend installing your software on a computer where you will not be moving the license and have your hot folders available on the network where you can access them from the VM.
Your Software Licence is linked to a hardware device when applied, thus this type of license does not run in a cloud environment if the hardware changes. A possible workaround is to place your Hot Folders where you can access them from anywhere on your network.
Yes, provided it is the same hardware. If both the hard drive and the mother board serial number are changed, in this case we would get the clone detection error message and the protected application will get disabled. If we have just one of the hard drive or the mother board changed or if serial number is changed, we would not receive the error message and the application would work fine. When our licenses are installed on a VM, it needs to be node locked. We usually recommend installing your software on a computer where you will not be moving the license and have your hot folders available on the network where you can access them from the VM.

Make sure to do a backup of the Impostrip® application folder and sub-folders according to our instructions.
Changing the settings of your computer or VM should not affect your Impostrip® license as the HASP software license is stored inside of the secure storage repository on the local hard disk. Only Sentinel HASP licensing library can access it (read/write to it).

Make sure to do a backup of the Impostrip® application folder and sub-folders according to our instructions.
Yes, you can move your license to another computer. Refer to instructions below based on your type of license. We recommend taking a backup of the Impostrip® application folder and sub-folders. Make sure Acrobat is not running during the process. For detailed instructions, refer to:

Dongle: If your license is on a dongle, you simply need to transfer your dongle to the new computer.

Electronic Software License (SL):
1) Generate a C2V from the computer where you currently have our software installed and send it to customerservice@imposition.com. Mention you are moving your license to another computer.
2) We will send you a V2C clearing the license on your end. Once you apply it,
3) You’ll need to send customerservice@imposition.com another C2V so we can clear the license on our end.
4) Once you install the software on your new computer, you send me a C2V.
5) We'll send you back a new V2C reactivating your license on your new computer.
